Chapter Two
The chill had set in, not like a visitor but as a long lost friend. Retaking its place amidst the chaos that was burning inside. What was it about the atmosphere that seemed so familiar, like Déjà vu? Nothing made sense anymore, nothing looked out of the ordinary, yet there I was standing in the middle of it all. Was it only a dream? Or a nightmare? Had I fallen into one of those sleep paralysis? I knew for a fact that I was aware of my surroundings. Of all the dreams I've dreamt, woken up to, or had been interrupted by my alarm, this didn't feel right. I did what any logical person in a horror movie would do and started exploring. One step at a time, right foot first, followed by the left. I didn't know what my destination would be, or what I would come across, I knew the answer lay ahead of me, no matter how far that was. Then it happened again, I woke up with a start, feeling exhausted, drenched in sweat. It had been the third time that I failed to procure it. The third...
