Seeker of mysterious things
A misshapen leaf,
A disfigured toy figurine,
An ink pen missing its nib,
Sunglasses sans their lens.
I collect things
absurd to the onlooker's eye,
proclaiming them
before they’re lost to time.
There's a certain charm
I find in things,
discarded or abandoned,
be they a person, place, or object.
Don't they deserve a second chance too?
To love, to live or simply exist,
even if only for a few moments,
if not for a lifetime.
